ADDING CONTENT FROM OTHER SITES

In this article we are offer a few lines of code that automatically adds 10,000 or so shareware listings to your web site. The user clicks a simple menu and the shareware is displayed entirely on your web pages.

To use this code you first need to complete a simple "Shareware Associate" agreement as shown below.

Your site will not be accepted if it is an (1) mostly ads site or (2) sex oriented or (3) illegal activities including hacking or (4) foul language or (5) inappropriate content. Your web location must be a web site, not a blog or similar. It must have existing content provided by you, not a 3rd party. The web address must not forward to a different address.

 We only contact you if you are approved.

Shareware Associate Agreement

You agree:

(1) the code provided is licensed from and subject to U.S. Computer Corporation's terms and conditions,
(2) that we may monitor your use of the content, your site ip, and more to insure appropriate and legal use of the code and content,
(3) either we or you may terminate this agreement and or the content at any time and without further notice to the other party.
Further, you certify you have no illegal, offensive or x-rated content on your site or sites and that you will not modify the code or content in any way or share it with others; that you are over the age of majority (legal age) in your country of residence and legally able to enter into this agreement.

Enter your email, url and your first and last name, then click 'I Agree' to 'sign' and submit the agreement and get the code. Use of the code without completing the agreement violates international law. The code will be emailed to the email address you provide below.

This time we are providing more limited code to add:only

• (1) New shareware listings (in a column of 10) and if you want
• (2) Top shareware based on clicks (in a column of 10). These lists change daily and will auto update each day on your site. A user clicking one of the listings sees information about the shareware in a new window. Each of the list is optional and can be embedded anywhere on any of your web pages. Examples of the list(s) display(s) on your site appear below. Use of the code provided means you use it with U.S. Computer Corporation's permission and you agree to our terms and conditions. To add a list (where you adjust the width and height of a column of new shareware listings) add the following code to your web page:

  To add a column where you can adjust the width and height of top shareware based on clicks, add the following code to your web page:

Here is an example of what the 2 lists look like, you can use either or both:

Controlling colors and fonts for your embedded product list: You can add one or more of the variables shown below (separated by an ampersand &) to control the appearance and layout of your list (change the values to the values you want) bgcolor=red fontcolor=green color2=black headersize=2 size=1 font=arial width=150 bgcolor2=beige bgcolor3=white cellpadding=5 cellspacing=3 bordersize=2 tablespacing=2 maintableborder=4 counter=5 See the example results using the values shown above. Other values you can add include: title='Some New Title' indent=yes - turns on list item decoration. theme='< insert code for a microsoft front page theme>' and the style variables link, active, hover, decoration, and visited using standard style color and other values to control your link colors and decorations.

Of course you should use careful spacing in your displays. You don't want a crowded display like this example. To control spacing place our code samples in a table. For example <Table width=100% align=center><tr><Td> ...code sample...</td></tr></table>

you can use the following code which adds up to 6 random shareware items including photos: Please note: unlike the above shareware examples, these listings link the buyer directly to one of our sites to purchase the shareware. The examples above normally link the shareware browser directly to the shareware publishers website.

To select the number of shareware items displayed, simply change the height attribute in the code and set the height a little too large so listings will not be chopped off.

The shareware displayed changes each time your visitor loads the page!
